Our Commitment Against Bullying in SocietyAt Truro Tae Kwon-Do Academy we recognise that bullying and abuse affects all aspects of our society and bullying behaviour can be prevalent in our schools, workplaces, training venues and our homes. Truro Tae Kwon-Do Academy runs a Child Protection Policy and Equal Opportunity & Diversity Policy, both of which affirm our commitment to combat bullying against all members of our society and to ensure that our training environment is completely free of bullying for all our students. Through effective martial arts training, we give our students the ability to read the danger signs of aggressive and underhanded behaviour. Our students develop the skills to stand up for themselves or to take appropriate action to protect themselves. And, our students benefit from an enhanced confidence to deal with bullying situations. We do not advocate violence against bullies. What Tae Kwon-Do gives its students is the courage and conviction to tell someone that they are being bullied, or confront the bully in a confident and rational manner. If you are worried that you are being bullied, mistreated or misrepresented in any way, please feel free to talk to any of our Instructors and be assured that our conversations will remain confidential.
