Dave Greene (age 28) Goalkeeper

Dave started is career catching the wrong shape balls but soon found the error of his ways and ditched the rugby ball for a football. An exceptional goalie who consistency ranks in the top three of conceding the lowest number of goals per season in the Duchy League.

Nathan Holliday (age 22) Defender

Nathan joined the club from Saltash Under 18’s. A hard tackling, aggressive player he has adapted well to men’s football. More often than not his second touch is a tackle but to his credit he wins most tackles! His commitment to the club is second to none and always brings joy to the changing room.

Will Swales (age 20) Defender

Will joined the club from Saltash Under 18’s and has adapted well to the Duchy league. A quiet lad who gets his fashion tips from Shaking Stevens, he has pace to burn and a good touch. He has been a permanent fixture in the Borough’s back four for the past two years.

Alistair Sinclair (age 26) Defender (Club Captain)

Alistair started his football career the wrong side of the River Tamar but with a big money deal was lured over the water to play for Borough. A strong, aggressive player, whose silky dribbling skills often find him in the opposition’s box. Initially a left back he has adapted well to play centre back this season and is a rock in defence. He captained the team to champions last year and was voted player of the season.

John Busher (Baz) (age 33) Defender

Baz is one of the longest serving players. Unfortunately his commitment to Queen and Country means he is not a regular on the team sheet. An aggressive player with a sweet left foot he is capable of playing anywhere on the park. He has a never say die attitude and always gives 100% whether on the playing field or battle field!

James Tripp (Trippy) (age 19) Defender

James joined the club towards the latter end of last season which was largely missed through injury. Trippy has a great touch and good positional sense for someone so young. He is fearless in the tackle and troubles many left backs on his runs forward. He has a great future in the game and will be a huge assest for Borough this season.

Jamie Manuel (age 32) Defender

Jamie is having his second spell with the club following a loan spell last year at St.Dominic. Jamie has been a seasoned East Cornwall Premier player with stints at both Saltash United and Liskeard. He has a great touch and his reading of the game more than makes up for any pace he has lost over the years. A great asset to the club he can play anywhere long the back four.

Dave Wright (age 20) Forward
Dave is at his second spell with the club having left midway through last season to play senior football for Saltash United. He has recently returned from coaching soccer in America to a load of overwieght American kids. He has tremendous pace and agression and a huge desire to play well, win matches and most importantly score goals. A threat to any Duchy defence!

Daniel Thompson (Tomo) (age 21) Defender / Midfielder

Tomo rejoined the team after a very short spell in the armed forces. As comfortable playing defence as midfield he is a great assist to the club. A strong and aggressive players his overlaps are becoming legendary and if he could only cross like Neville Man United would have the perfect replacementss like Neville Man United would have the perfect replacement!

Mark Loton (age 32) Midfielder

Mark has joined the club this year following a transfer from St.Dominic. Mark has been a present sight on the East Cornwall pitches over the past decade. His energy is legendry and for a midfielder certainly knows where the net is scoring 20 goals for St.Dominic last season.

Shane Blanks (age 35) Midfielder

Shane joined Borough 3 years ago coming out of early retirement having played his early football at Torquay and Exeter. An influential midfielder balancing skill and aggression perfectly he is a permanent fixture in the centre of the park. One can only dream what a player he could have been for the club if Borough would have got to him before Lloyds Pharmacy

Ben Philp (age 21) Midfielder

Ben joined Borough at the beginning of last season but had to leave half way through having decided to join the forces as he felt the training regime would be less intense! He has the aggression and skill required of footballers these days and combined with his great passing ability and with one of the hardest shots in the game he has a great future.

Mark Blanks (age 25) Midfielder

Mark has been with Borough for 5 seasons and has been a great clubman. An adaptable player he has played in goal, left back and right back but his most favourable position is right midfield. Probably one of the best crosses from a dead ball the club has. His work commitments prohibit him from being a regular starter but is a great asset when available.

Dave Wilkinson (age 29) Forward

Dave joined the club from Plymstock United following an impressive loan spell with Borough towards the end of the 2005/06 season. It has taken 12 months to capture the signature of Dave who is a prolific goal scorer. Bought to improve Borough's goal scoring he was be an unwelcome site for many defenders this year.

Andy Wright (age 34) Winger

Andy joined the club for an undisclosed fee in 2002. He started his playing career at Watford before playing much of his career in the SWL. Lured to Borough he has played nearly every game for the past four seasons. His turns and touches are legendary. His commitment to fittest is unbelievable and even as one of the oldest players is probably the fittest at the club. His aim is to beat Sir Stanley Mathews record of the oldest league player!

Stuart Fort (age 24) Forward

Stu joined borough on a free transfer in 2003. He has been compared to Peter Crouch on numerous occasions. Both have great feet, superb touch, silky skills and both tower way above defences and yet at way over 6 foot tall when they both jump they are 5’9’’? Still can’t have everything. A great asset to the club, top goal scorer and turning out man of the match performances on a regular basis the free transfer was deal of the decade!

Steve Brown (age 35) Player Manager

Steve has been joint manager for 4 seasons helping lead the club up through the Duchy leagues. His official playing career was cut short when he ruptured his cruciate ligaments at the tender age of 27. Following reconstructive surgery 3 years ago he has been forced out of retirement to make up the numbers on the subs bench on numerous occasions. A goal scoring machine he is not and never was but he has managed to sniff out a goal or two!

Alistair Sampson (age undisclosed) Manager

Alistair’s playing days have long been over after rather carelessly breaking the same leg twice playing football. Studies football with a passion and watches every game going to enhance his knowledge of the game to ensure he always wins on football trivial. Joining the club as joint managers in 2002 he has played a vital role in the clubs success over the years spending hours scouting new talent out on the school playing field.
