Tuesday, 1st September 2009 Committee meeting tomorrow night (Wednesday) at the Secretary's house. 7.00pm start. Wednesday, 12th August 2009 Committee meeting the Secretary's house. 7.00pm start. Wednesday 10th June 2009 Following the club meeting on Tuesday, the committee announced that the new management team for next season will be Manager Phil Bennett with Assistant Manager John Busher. Nathan Holliday and Stuart Fort have been appointed to assist the Managers with the Training and coaching. Phil is one of the founder members of the club and the first ever manager and has vast experience both playing and managing. Baz, as Busher is popularly known, is the club's longest serving player having been with then ever since the club was founded. He is in the army where he has also gained managerial experience. The club are delighted that they have accepted their new roles within the club. THURS 6TH MAY NOTES FROM THE MEETING 5TH MAY. NEW MANAGER FOR NEXT SEASON At the club meeting, it was decided to formally advertise for the position of Manager. Several names have been forwarded for consideration but the committee agreed that in order to get the right man for the job the position would be advertised formally, a shortlist of potential candidates would be drawn up and invited to an interview. Anyone interested in the position is asked to lodge their interest with John Parker by the 6th June 2009 contact details below. The Treasurer requested that Players pay any outstanding dues by the end of the season. With 3 matches to play its all down to us to secure the 2nd spot and manager Steve Brown was confident that the players will achieve promotion.(Will it be another party night for the club)
THURS 22ND APRIL After the St Dominick match, The Managers informed the players that, they would be standing down as from the end of this season. Both Steve and Ali will continue on the committee but the pair informed the players that, the responsibilities of their work and family would not allow them the time needed to manage the side at this level of expectation. Let us hope that team and the Managers achieve the promotion that they richly deserve.

GREAT SUPPORT AT SALTMILL The cup game was one of the best games seen at Saltmill was the general opinion of the good crowd that saw BOROUGH and SALTASH put on a great game of football for over 60 spectators to enjoy.As one of the Saltash supporters was heared to say ..we are very pleased to take a one goal advantage from The Borough at the Saltmill !! WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL. POINTS OF INTEREST FROM MEETING 31ST MARCH Our New club Secretary for next season,John Parker ,told the meeting that Julian our last Sec., would be a very hard act to follow. All the award winners of last season Ben Philps,Jamie Manual,Barry Jones should return the 'club Trophies' my the end of this month. Outstanding Tracksuit payments etc must be paid by the end of the month requested the club Treasurer. The club were preparing for a good gate at Saltmill for the Supplementary Cup first leg match v Saltash utd.(dates to be Confirmed ) For the first time this season the Treasurer reported that,our income£6639-32p was more than our expenditure £6593-71p. It was good to see one of our main sponsors,Steve Curtis at the match on Saturday. We failed to spot him at the gate ,and was charged to come in!(thats Barry,s story) Race Night/Presentation evening is all in hand and it looks like its going to be a lively evening.The 'Owners Tickets' are now available,price£5.
THURSDAY 5TH MARCH POINTS ARISING FROM CLUB MEETING.(MARCH) The club have decided to set the admission for the supp.,cup semi-final at £2 and a concession of £1 oap,s and u,16,s. The dates as yet are not known,we do know it will be either Saltash or Tavistock. A QUESTION OF SELF CONTROL!! it was brought to the meetings attention that some needless recklessness and ill-discipline on the part of several players was likely to cost the club monies due to imposed league fine.Come on lads,pull your socks up ! RACE NIGHT SAT 9TH MAY. First race will be at 7-45pm,there will be eight races (the last race an auction race) It will cost £5 to become a 'owner' of a race horse.The winning ownner receiving a Tenner and a bottle of wine and the 2nd a bottle of wine.The tote will pay out on 1st place 'Owner'Tickets will be on sale at the end of March.
HORSE-RACE NIGHT/PRESENTATION EVENING ON SATURDAY 9TH MAYThis enjoyable evening should once again be well supported by members and family and friends. Further details will appear on this page as soon as the format of the evening is decided. (see above) MONDAY 16TH FEB GREAT SUPPORT AT' THE SALTMILL ' This season as seen a great support for the Borough at Saltmill. A real bonus for the club has been the number of spectators watching our home games. The excellent cup run attracted some large gates, but it would appear we have built a loyal number of 'supporters willing to brave some pretty bad weather to watch us. Already this season over six hundred people have gone through the turnstiles. For our first season in senior football, that can't be bad! Well done the team and the management. CREDIT CRUNCHER The club have decided to keep the admission of £1-00 for the remaining league fixtures at 'The Saltmill. CLUB MEETINGS The next club committee meeting is on Wednesday 4th March 09.
