How to write a novel A one day workshop to raise funds for The Quality of Life Animal Sanctuary Devon.Cost £25. In this creative writing workshop we’ll be looking at:What makes a good novel? How and where to find story ideas. Creating memorable characters. The importance of setting. Writing dialogue. And overcoming the dreaded writers block.There will be lots of writing exercises, so please bring along a notebook and pens. No previous writing experience is required. Come and have some creative fun!The course will be led by Heidi Stephenson. Heidi has been writing for the past 15 years, as well as working as a television producer and arts administrator. She has written and published a book on playwriting (Rage and Reason: Women Playwrights on Playwriting, Methuen), has written 2 stageplays, 3 screenplays and a radio drama, The Witches of Bideford, which was broadcast on BBC Radio Devon last year. Her teaching experience includes work for the Arvon Foundation and Exeter Phoenix.
