We have for sale our family workhorse, it's served us well for the 12 months we've had it, but earlier today the gearbox started making a funny noise in traffic, and then 250yards from the school turn off it broke down completely. I was unable to put the car in gear and gear oil was leaking from underneath.
Only 2 weeks ago we had brand new rear brake cylinders fitted, new bottom arms both sides, new inner cv boots fitted and new glow plugs installed, we have also bought a new belt to fit (unfitted), fuel filter (unfitted), rear shoes (unfitted) all new parts bought ready to service the vehicle but we have no access to tools in Lincoln city centre.

Tyres have good tread (2 front ones are only 6months old)

all rear seats can come out giving you more loading space than an escort van (very handy for my disco previously)
Bad points
apart from the obvious above
passenger side mirror broken (thanks to stupid half asleep commuter in morning rush hr traffic)
dent in rear quarter (would easily pop out according to father in law)
exhaust knocks on towbar (can be irritating sometimes)
passenger side sliding door release sticks sometimes (we have to use the inside handle when this happens)
boot locks on central locking only (key too stiff)
This is a 7 seater car, we have purchased a rear bench seat to give 8 seats (available by negotiation).

Needs to be towed or trailered away. We were going to sell after Jan 3rd anyway as we wanted a newer smaller engined MPV but the gearbox issue has forced our hand and we need to sell asap as we need to get the kids to school!
