Pasty Muncher
The end of Another Year. As 2009 draws to a close - what have we learned? Amongst the many triuphs of 2009 was succcessfully kicking he pasty habit. The name Pasty Muncher came about during a lunchtime wander throught the gloroius market town of Newton Abbot where from 11:00 am onwards folk of all shapes and sizes were gredily gobbling take away pasties in paper bags allowing the crumbs to feed the attractive pigeon and gull population. I tried a pasty and it was great. I tried another it wasn't as great. Another pasty scoffed and my pasty passion began to diminish. Pasty - Blood Pressure and Health Issues
To cap it all it tunrned out that the humble pasty was not only a cheap processed food which was likely to have serious impact on my health but the farming of meat, production and distribution was a major contributor to global warming. Having supported the blood pressure testing week back in September - relief that even after all the pasty gree my own blood pressure is ok - some would say there is no such thing as normal blood pressure but a reading of 130 over 80 only this morning was enough to encourage maintaining the healthy diet - a pasty free 2010 Climate Change & Pasties
After some investigation it seems that the pasty global warming scare is valid - our munching of the pasty is responsible for the effects of climate change So we end 2009 with a farewell to the pasty (or will it be au revoir) and hello to the new me - lean mean pasty shunning machine. Whatever you're munching this year or next MUNCH ON! Spread the Word
