Looking for the eighties dream of Miami

Miami

Miami is one of Florida’s most popular tourist destinations. Situated on the south-eastern coast of the Sunshine State, it’s a vast city, with many different areas to explore.

Get Around - Car Hire Florida

One of the best known areas is South Beach, where you can swim, sunbathe and see the famous Art Deco architecture. In Downtown Miami, you’ll find restaurants, shopping malls, theatres, and museums and galleries, such as the Miami Children’s Museums and the Miami Art Museum. The picturesque Coconut Grove area of the city is home to attractions such as The Barnacle State Historic Park and the Kampong (a tropical garden), whilst the Wynwood Art District contains more than 70 galleries.

Miami is also a hub for travellers – the Port of Miami is often referred to as the “Cruise Capital of the World” and many people use Miami as a stopover before driving to the Florida Keys.

My Oh My More Cars in Mumbai

Mumbai traffic is getting out of hand - but flights to Mumbai are continually increasing.

Recently returned from a trip of a lifetime to visit the delights of India. The flight back was on time - no thanks to the volcanic ash disruption.

Tip for anyone booking flights to india make the effort to fly from London as these routes tend to be considerably cheaper that flights to Manchester

Indians are rushing to buy cars even before existing roads are expanded and new roads are built. I recall why Henry Ford of Detroit was demanding that new roads be built as a prerequisite to marketing cars to the Americans. India has been rather slow, may be at a bullock cart speed, in building basic infrastructure.

Now Necessity is the Mother of Inventions. Therefore, it is possible that the Indian population will apply enough pressure to build roads so that traffic can move. Only thing that could thrive during traffic jam will be cell phones and videos!

Find Flights to Mumbai

Following the resounding success of Slumdog, Mumbai has become a top destination for travellers and I am happy to note from the photograph that the traffic jam has not become victim to beggars and vendors of water, fruits, etc. If the traffic moves in an orderly fashion within marked boundaries throughout, then a new civilization has arrived in Mumbai.
