Munching with the best of 'em. Tirelessly searching for the perfect pasty.

I've Said It all Before

Source: Kim Mutton
Friday 26th February 2010, 4:06pm

There comes a time - usually on a Friday - when there is little left to say

So I say it best when I say nothing at all.

NEVER

I had a pasty for lunch - it was mediocre - all pastry and potato - it occured to me that the pastry was an unecessary caot for the filling within - much like ladies dresses when they are wearing lingerie.

Tumbles Today

Watched various funny videos - all part of a days work - the favourite today had to be these lovely ladies testing lingerie on a roller coaster ride. Only wearing lingerie - dresses discarded before boarding the big thrill ride at Alton Towers the models squeal with genuine delight as they are tumbled and spun around various rides at the theme park.

Exeter Explosion - Manhole Blows Off - Boom!

A loud boom in central Exeter - underground manhole moles suspected.

Exeter Explosion Manhole Cover Blows Off

A loud BOOM filled central Exeter this morning. The Explosion, which shook the foundations of offices on Southernhay and the Princesshay retail area is thought to have been caused by underground moles keen to put the Giraffe gaff last year behind them.

The Aftermath - Man Hole Blows Off

Photos taken immediiately after the Exeter explosion show a manhole cover slightly off its mark revealing a hole in the ground. Security guards are looking into it.

Basil, a fox closeby when the manhole cover blew off commented: " BOOM BOOM"

Reducing Climate Change with Sunny Electric

Get paid for using electricity - Shocking

It sounds crazy but a new scheme will mean that those who have solar panels and or wind turbines to generate clean electricity will be paid not only for the electricity they feed back into the national grid but what they use.

Ever concious of my carbon footprint and ithe effects on climate change - note to self - stop looking at flights to Thailand and check out local suppliers of solar panels - or what are now called PV panels - photo volatic panels - no solar panels.

Earning money with the feed in tariff in Devon

Money - a convincing motivation to clean up my act - joining the grid and profiting from the feed in tariff devon has obvious attractions - and with an adequate solar PV panel costing around eight thousand it is reckoned that wiht the sunshine hours in the south west installing PV panels devon will see the outlay costs repaind within ten years with a bonus of a further ten years of brucey bonus payment for using your own electric.

PV-Panel-Tastic!

Valentine Pasty - For Lovers That Munch

Source: Kim Mutton

A couple that munch together stay together. Love is ..... a Valentine Pasty

It's that time of year again when sweethearts manifest their affection in the form of cards, chocolates, flowers or maybe even diamonds.

A search for valentine pasty revealed the depth of the misunderstanding of the tem spread by them from over the pond - a tacky piece of sexy lingerie

But it's to heck with Valentine's Day tradition in the case of the West Cornwall Pasty Co which is hoping customers will say it with a pasty instead. Not just any old pasty either.

Available from 9th February for a limited time, the company's Pasty to Share is a heart-shaped steak Valentine pasty filled with beef, potato, swede and onion, lovingly finished off with a pastry heart in the centre and designed to be halved and enjoyed by two people.

While admitting it may not be the most obvious romantic gesture, chief executive Richard Nieto says it's certainly a tasty and unique one.

Well he has a point. Isn't there a saying, "the way to a man's heart..."?
