Browsing t'web twoo looking for flights to Sydney I appened to stumble upon a classic Aussie stance when challenged about the celebration of Australia Day

What are we celebrating?? The fact that we have endless kilometres of sundrenched beaches (you know the ones you have to pay hundreds of pounds fopr flights to Australia to get to), fresh tropical fruit growing in abundance (you know the ones you have

to import from other countries because you cant grow your own) and the fact that we are going to win the Ashes next time your 11 pasty faced stiffs grace our shores!

Well I'm no fan of cricket but I take exception at the notion that cricketeers have any association with a pasty! Ignorance is bliss - now go enjoy the over exposure to UV

Thinking about Valentines day and considering the easy option of ordering from well know high street retailer M&S who have a pretty good selection of valentine flowers

The devastating earthquake in Haiti..

Haiti Earthquake Disater Relief

The earthquake in Haiti has left the people without basic provisions. Buildings flattened, power supplies cut off, no fresh water and all communications are up the swanny

Now is not the time to be talking politics, it is a time when we should be doing whatever we can to offer practical support.

The terrible images of the eartquake on tv should be enough to make everyone take some action to do what they can to help the people of Haiti.

Anyone looking to support one of the charitable organisations which have been mobilising very quickly to offer assistance will be able to find a range by Googling 'Haiti earthquake' or 'Haiti relief'.

You can make donations to help the Haiti earthquake relief efforts to restore basic human needs.
