Hampers - Pasties Not Included?

food hampers look set to be the gift of 2009 but will locally sourced hampers deliver?

After two years of tirelessly searching for the perect pasty its not surprising that I have become a gastro celebrity. From mentions On Jamie Olivers forums and appearances on local Radio the Pasty Muncher is fast becoming the voice of reason when it comes to pasty associated products and issues.

Pasty Muncher on Facebook

Gratifying to see this What's in Your Pasty application - short and sweet, this quiz covers the essential basics.

Pasty Identica

Pasty has a caring side too - who can forget the support shown for the Kenya drought food shortage campaign which saw the fat faced one appealing for help to feed the people of East Africa.

Pasty on Linkedin

Linked in - the professional network for slapping colleagues on the back is an obvious place for this Gastronaught

An food is the thrust of this post. Giving food gifts says a lot about someone - if food be the music of life - MUNCH ON!

Pasty Gifts food hampers

On the price comparison site Saving Bucks in amongst the gastronomique deleights are a variety of gift ideas. For those with cash to spare I point you in the direction of the

What an amazing array of hampers

Stuffed full of goodies a hamper makes a great gift for any occasion. With careful selection you can create your own bespoke hamper - you choose the wine, chocolate and other bits and bobs then let someone else package it all up to look pretty and arrange delivery. Marks and Spencer are pushing their Christmas hampers and other specialist hamper companies are thinking about appealing to nich markets - Scottish products appear to be favoured and this local (to me) company http://www.purelycornish.co.uk/ is trying to tap into the cornish hampers.

Disappointing to see no mention of a carnish beauty in amongst the tins of pilchards and sickly sweet liquers offered - drop them a line - tell them what you would want in your hamper.

Checking for imposters I saw this facebook page for a pasty muncher

Sometimes, yes I have to have a little fun - watching videos like this one is a welcome releif to the tireless search for the perfect pasty - and finding a solution to climate change

Christmas 2009 - Modern Warfare 2 Vs Elmo Live

Source: Kim Mutton
Tuesday 8th September 2009, 11:56am

is toys for boys -

The Atrium entrance to Trago Mills is packed with Christmas goodies so its official the festive season has begun and its time to draw up those gift lists and start to shop online to find the best prices for children's toys and games.

Must have toys and games

But its not just kids who are after the latest toys and games this year.

Video gaming is becoming more and more popular (thank heaven the Wii remains the game for late night inebriated fumbles) with the launch of the slim new PS3 and the mighty Xbox 360 jockeying for postion to be the gaming platform of choice to play the latest new releases.

Modern Warfare 2 is tipped to be one of the best selling games as Christmas approaches and already most online stores are offering a pre-order facility to ensure you get your copy of the game on its release date in November. The recommended price is higher than most other new releases so its a smart idea to use the poser of online price comparison sites to find a the cheapest Modern Warfare 2 game for your preferred console.

For those who disapprove of Modern Warfare 2 or indeed 1 there are plenty of more shall we say ethical gifts to please all ages

Top Toy for Christmas 2009 - Elmo Live?

Following the recent appearance of Ricky Gervais on Sesame Street in which he clearly adores Elmo I have a hunch that one of the most popular childrens christmas presents will be Elmo Live

Elmo is a companion and friend - telling jokes, singing songs and generally being a lovable furry friend. Elmo Live is just brilliant!

Abu Dhabi - The Place To Be

Source: Kim Mutton

Yas Marina Circuit is host to the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - Vroomtastic!

Lost Summer - Thinking of a Hot Place to Visit?

Why not think about the United Arab Emirates?

Abu Dhabi has always been a poor relation to the glittering jewel of Dubai however withtthe arrival of Formula 1 motorsport in late October this year the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix which is being held at the "under construction" Yas Marina Circuit will elevate Abu Dhabi to being recognised as a top sunshine resort.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The grand prix is the final race of the F1 2009 season and is expected to be a thriller although there is rumour that the pit babes will be banished from the track which I know will be a big disappointment. however on the plus side flights to Abu Dhabi with the UAE national airline Etihad (they sponsor a English footy team you know) are frequent and reasonably priced. Abu Dhabi International Airport is on 15 minutes drive away from the newly build Yas Circuit which also boasts some amazing hotels.

Ladies - careful with the clothing - you'll only be able to show of that new swimwear if you bath at hotel pools - swimming costumes are frowned upon at the beach.
