WTNG (Woolpack The Next Generation for new readers) joined forces yesterday to go and see The Tweenies Live! at King's Lynn Corn Exchange....

I took Sam, and we met Misty, Ellie and Kortney with a selection of so-called grown-ups for a pre-match Happy Meal just round the corner from the theatre. Thanks to my excellent reconnaissance we had tickets in the steeper part of the auditorium, at the end of two rows, right next to the exit. The little ones all had fantastic views of the stage and were wide-eyed when The Tweenies shook their booty for almost two hours.

Sam has been a bit reticent at previous shows we've been to, but seems to be mellowing a little and was shouting at the stage, clapping like the, umm, clappers, and doing the dance moves with the best of 'em. From the safety of Daddy's lap for the second half, admittedly, but we're getting there! At the end of the show our little party disintegrated as everyone had to have their children back with various parents/partners etc as soon as possible, so WTNG is "class dismissed" for the time being. Me and Sam had a really fun walk home, involving duck racing, avoiding the lamp posts and counting with certain numbers replaced with animal noises. All really good stuff and ended our time together on a happy note.

I had an interview yesterday for a 25 hours a week admin job, and I think it went OK-ish. This job would be just about perfect and I could fit in the cleaning work with it seamlessly. Best of all though, it wouldn't affect my time with Sam! They said they'll be deciding by the end of the week, fingers crossed!

Talking of cleaning, I think I must be doing it right as the boss lady hasn't bothered turning up to inspect what I've done this week, which I take to be a good sign. Last 1 1/2 hours of the week this morning, then I have nothing else planned for the day. I will be cooking something this afternoon, not decided what yet, but I'm leaning towards something hot and spicy and probably vegetarian!

And finally.....every Thursday I weigh myself to keep a check on my health, and today was no exception. Hopped on the scales....hmmmm, slightly heavier than last week by 0.6kg. No problemmo, I just put the Norfolk Single Dad Diet into play and within one minute I had actually lost 0.4kg from last week, result! So, what is the secret of the miraculous Norfolk Single Dad Diet? Take off your dressing gown and have a pooh!
