At the gym last night I felt very peculiar - only briefly - but thought I'd record it for posterity

So! Yesterday was a busy day. Finished off the quarterly statistics report for my voluntary group (just awaiting one or two specialist contributions from colleagues), so that's a good job done and dusted.

Cleaned the pub, had a cuppa with the landlady, scraped another bogey off the wall of the Ladies loos!

Visited a mate for coffee and gossip early afternoon, very civil.

Picked up Sam from nursery, and he was soooooooo tired bless him. I couldn't really do anything right for him, but it's not his fault, he's just getting used to his new grown-up routine I think. So tired in fact that he said he didn't want to go in the bath (well, he actually said "I think we should give bath time a miss tonight Daddy"). Bad luck son, in you go! He had fun once he was in. He had chicken curry and potato wedges for tea, super healthy as I made it all from scratch. Our three hours absolutely flew by yesterday, I'm hoping it's all a bit calmer today.

My mobile phone is knackered! So I have to sort that out somehow today. So if you've texted me and not had a reply, sorry, I'm not ignoring you, honest. Well, I am ignoring YOU, but not the rest of you!

Went to the gym after dropping Sam off - not been in the evening before and it was packed until about 8 o'clock. It was my 12th visit and my fitness advisor (check it out) Alix was very encouraging and said I was doing great. Doesn't feel like it. Mind you, after using the rower and x-trainer, I hopped on the treadmill and the weirdest thing happened. I had a feeling that things were all OK, I forgot my problems completely for a few seconds, and felt.....let me try to remember the word.....happy? Thankfully that feeling passed after a few seconds, so I can get back to being the depressed fat-knacker that everyone is used to!

So today is looking busy, I have several NHS jobs I need to complete job apps for, and I am going to attack the council website (job section). Picking Sam up later, and I need to fit the gym in somewhere too - might go in the evening again because it was quite good.

Pic is a nice one from our summer trip to Oxburgh Hall that you can now find on the Sky News website!
