Today's National Poetry Day, here's one of my favourites, by Wendy Cope, called "After The Lunch":

On Waterloo Bridge, where we said our goodbyes,
The weather conditions bring tears to my eyes.
I wipe them away with a black woolly glove,
And try not to notice I've fallen in love.

On Waterloo Bridge, I am trying to think,
"This is nothing - you're high on the charm and the drink."
But the jukebox inside me is playing a song,
That says something different, and when was it wrong?

On Waterloo Bridge with the wind in my hair,
I am tempted to skip. "You're a fool." I don't care.
The head does it's best, but the heart is the boss,
I admit it before I am halfway across.

So, today I have cleaned the pub and been to the gym. At the gym, today was the day my "resistance training" (!!!) increased, so all the weights were boosted. It certainly made a difference. Might have a day off tomorrow.

I am just about to head into town, Christmas shopping! Got me first three presents last week, aiming for another three today, and I'll have made a good start. Got the cards too, and the paper, and me and Sam will make our own tags. There's due to be a shortage of toys this Christmas due to Chinese manufacturing issues such as lead in paint, dangerous toys etc, so I'm having a really good scout for Sam's toys today too, although where I could hide them I have no idea.

The new phone is working, so apologies if you've been neglected for a day or two.

As for the Ready Salted World Cup (RSWC07), we are going international, and will hopefully have two American contenders. Excellent, thanks NJDiva, and good luck with the pregnancy! Also, I need a logo, so if you want to design something then please have a go, the tackier and cheaper looking the better. Email to me at trix68@hotmail.co.uk Cheers!
