Look At The Streetlights!

"Look at the streetlights, such a pretty sight", say The View....."Look at the streetlights, vandalised again", says me.....

On February 12th I told you how the council had been super-quick in fixing all the lights along a dark stretch of the pathways in the local park. Today I noticed that vandals are already costing us tax-payers money.....

It's hard not to think that the people doing the damage are those who stand to benefit from such actions, maybe they're the ones who mug people in there.....it's not a giant leap of faith to connect the two things is it......

Fortunately the problem has been recognised, and as part of the refurbishment and improvement of The Walks, "vandal-proof" lighting is being introduced. Good thinking. Quite how "vandal-proof" the new lights will turn out to be is yet to be seen!

Anyhow, before I finish, I just want to say that I will be passing through The Walks, this Thursday coming, about 6.25pm. Any of you big, tough "men" who like to relieve people of their possessions and money - see you there! Let's see how you get on with a 30-something bloke instead of an 80-something old lady....
