Another Thursday, another day in Simonworld.....

Actually, going back a day, you can now, officially, call me "The Guvnor Of Songanory"! That is the title bestowed on me me by Si from the KLFM Breakfast Show yesterday. Why? Well. Songanory was a sad tale of a bloke losing track with his brother.....I guessed either Don't Look Back In Anger or Heasdshrinker by my heroes Oasis.....wrong!

Eventually I guessed it was "Daniel" by Elton John, I am now, apparently, The Guvnor of Songanory, yay!

Thursday means cleaning in the morning, which went very nicely. In the afternoon the plumbers finally got despatched to my flat to sort out the "pooh coming up through the plughole in the bath" problem. And then only because I called the letting agents to whinge. Their conclusion? Yes, pooh comes out of the plughole. We'll send another plumber tomorrow.

Thus to bed for a nap before my voluntary work nightshift. And what a bloody shift it was! Me and my colleague were busy pretty much start to finish, with some fairly heavy-duty callers. None that affected me too much or so I thought. Usually at the end of each shift you offload your calls and any feelings they have raised to an offsite colleague. But on the nightshift you don't phone because you finish at 2 a.m. And anyway, no calls upset me!

However, now, several hours later, I am really worried about one caller, and can't sleep. This is a first for me. Not particularly bad problems, no real risk of self-harm or suicide. Just a really "nice" person battling against life and not doing very well. Sad.

I'm going to try to sleep again.
