A mate's wife died today after jumping from a car park.

All the fellow members of the Grumpy Old Men's Club, and lots of other people, have been rallying round, but I guess it means sod all to him right now. Seeing our usually extrovert friend looking so empty and lost was a real shock for everyone.

I only met his missus a couple of times (not mentioning names at the moment) but she seemed to be a lovely woman, under huge pressure at work. Why can't we see the signs before they take the last step?

Once again, please send an email, or make a phone call, or send a card to someone you haven't heard from in a while. When they're gone, they're gone, and it's crap.
