I've had a really exciting idea for a competition! And it's not the Cheese And Onion World Cup!

All I'm waiting for is to hear from one or two other people, then it will be all systems go!

I think it might be a first for It's My Market.....but they should get some good publicity out of it.

Neil from IMM reminded me I hadn't been keeping you up to date on this, the world's best-followed mouth-burning potato/maize-based light snack knockout competition, so here goes:

Round Two

Kettle Chips Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar 21 : 19 Discos Salt & Vinegar

Morrisons Salt & Vinegar 17 : 22 Seabrook Sea Salt & Vinegar

Pringles Salt & Vinegar 22 : 16 Tesco Crunchy Sticks Salt & Vinegar

The Real McCoys Ridge Cut Salt & Malt Vinegar 20 : 14 Tesco Salt & Vinegar

Semi-Finals

Seabrook Sea Salt & Vinegar v Pringles Salt & Vinegar

Tesco home-brand performed very badly, possibly a poor batch, but some of the big boys have progressed serenely into the latter stages. What price McCoys v Seabrooks in the Final, a battle between the ridge-cut monsters (interestingly, Neil from IMM hinted that he thought this would be a major factor coming into the tournament, quite remarkable!). Seems like Neil's "appliance of science" may have had more than an element of truth about it!

The Final will be held in The Woolpack with three volunteers tasting and rating the finalists, from unmarked bowls. See you there for one of 2007's most important and crunchtastic moments.......
