Oasis are they the best? Or do they make you sleep-work?

Oasis have topped a poll of the best albums of all time, taking the top two positions. But are they that good? And 300 millions hours a day are lost by people 'sleep-working' whatever that is......

Morning all from a frosty and foggy Fens,

A chilly start to the week with lots of fog about this morning which made my journey in at 5.30 this morning a bit of a nightmare. But I made it safely and joined Shaun for another Fen Radio Breakfast Show.

Oasis have taken the top two slots in a poll of the 500 best albums of all time. 'Definitely Maybe' was voted No.1 with 'What's the Story (Morning Glory)' coming second. Now these were both great albums, but could they really be better than classics like 'Dark Side of the Moon', 'Sgt Pepper's' and the Bay City Rollers 'Greatest Hits'? My beef about Liam and Noel is that they are just a bit dull and boring - I don't want to know how hard they are or that they can swear or do rude signs, it aint big and it's not clever!

Apparently 300million hours a day are lost by people 'sleep-working' or going through the motions whilst daydreaming at work. That's a lot of time! Can't make up my mind wether I suffer from 'sleep dj-ing' or not. (Where am I? What am I doing?)

The Mystery Voice continues to fox everyone - no takers this morning with guesses of Cher, Amanda Holden and Lulu all incorrect. £143 tomorrow at 7.40

Same goes for the £500 Sound - it wasn't a Microwave door shutting, the tick or tock of a clock and definitely not a toilet seat! Try again tomorrow at 8.15am

Tomorrow it's the Celebrity Firing Squad. Which unsuspecting celebrity will be nominated for radio's most dangerous put-down?

See you tomorrow at 7

Nigel

Fen Radio 107.5 Breakfast Show 7am to midday weekdays
