CHILDREN TO BE TAUGHT MY NINTENDO DS?

16 schools in Scotland are set to introduce 'brain training' sessions for pupils using Nintendo DS consoles. These would be held first thing in the morning before normal lessons began. Apparently they are good because they help sharpen pupils' minds in readiness for the day. Or is it just a teacher cop-out?

MYSTERY VOICE

A new one this morning worth £25. Incorrect guesses - Mickey Rooney, George Foreman, Tito Jackson, David Cross and Kirk Douglas.

£500 SOUND

Still running and still not identified. These wrong answers today - Bubble gum bubble popping, Thumbnail on teeth of a comb and gear changing on a cycle.

FLASHBACK

Today's songs by Nik Kershaw, John Waite, ZZ Top, Van Halen and Tina Turner. The year? 1984 of course, as told by Bob, Sam, Upholstery Boys, Darren & Gerald, Dean, Paul, Debbie, Stormin Norman, Joan, Phil and Mark.

FREEBIE FRIDAY

Jamieson Whiskey goodies were given away by Knockoff Nige and Shifty Shaun today. Anna won by telling us that Jameson's originated in Ireland. She can now celebrate St Patrick's Day in style.

ANAGRAM GAME

ICTAUGYNP = PUGNACITY. A great game today as the listeners struggled with the letters the Dictionary Doctor left for me to prescribe in his absence. A low number of calls reflected the difffculty but well done to the seven people who got it right.

BACK ON MONDAY

With the £500 Sound, Mystery Voice, Flashback, Anagram Game and predicting your future in One Word Horoscopes.
