Nigel Payne Breakfast Show We celebrate National Chip Week, ask for your poems and check out the new Mr Men........
So, it's Monday morning, the start to a new week ... and as it's up and coming to valentines day we have stacks of stuff for you to win to give to your loved ones. Details of all the goodies we gave away to come. First of all, I arrived into the studio and asked Shaun to take a quick look at my car, and he saw my nice window that had been smashed by a thoughtful Pheasant ... so thats all my wages for this month gone, oh well ... on with the show eh? The Mr Men are making a welcomed return, but causing some controversy with our European friends, the French ... Mr Rude is the new character and he's the only Mr Man to have a French accent, akin to the French (as rumour has it), he's arrogant and he gets people to pull his finger and lets off, akin to the French (apparently) Were 4 days away from the day of love, Valentines Day ... so to give the dear listeners a helping hand we have teamed up with our friends at Asda and they've given us a whole array of goodies to give away, all we ask is for you to send us a lovely love poem starting 'Roses are Red' and the best one wins some flowers, some chocs or some Champers, so if any blog readers need something to give thier loved ones for the special day then email your love poem to studio@fenradio.co.uk, or text it to 07730 469307. Did you know that it's National Chip Week? Well it is ... so here at Fen Radio, were treating you all this week ... to guess what ... FISH AND CHIPS, oh yeah ... 4 lots each day and all you have to do is call in when you hear the frying fish noise and be on lucky line number 3, and you'll be munching on some tasty fish n' chips thanks to us and Navrady's in Upwell. So as you can imagine, we had plenty to do today, all that, plus our Morning anagram based competition with no name featuring Nigel and Shaun .... Todays anagram was ORCLA, which translated into CORAL or CAROL. And there you go, a show in a Blog ... Catch up with myself and Shaun tomorrow from 7, where we have £133 on the mystery voice, the £500 Sound will make its return and we shall be throwing another celebrity into the line of fire, in CELEBRITY FIRING SQUAD. See you from 7 Nigel and Shaun CommentsWant to comment on this blog entry? Blog Entry Discussion (0 comments) Spread the Word
