My Patch
Oh what a glorious thing to be, A healthy grown up busy busy bee. And by Jimmeny its ALL GO on the patch. Q: So many jobs - where to Begin?A: The BeginningIts seems obvious but so often once on the patch its easy to become distracted and a whole afternoon can fly by with little visible achievements. Getting on with it.First rule of prioritising - draw up a list. Start getting on with all the things that have to be done that day - thereby freeing up time for the unexpected. In terms of gardening that would apply to picking soft fruit before the heavens opened again or fixing the protective netting to prevent further intusions into the fertile patch. Work smarter not harder - dirty jobsJust because I get joy and fulfilment from my gardening doesn't mean I'm not on the look out for other jobs. This summer has been a wash out so far and the bumper crops enjoyed last year look unlikely so there will become a need for a suplemental income. Something that could come in handy is the new range of Mobile Broadband devices - iPhones and PDA which would allow a sneaky surf during downpours without traipsing all the way back to the house. In fact it was on itsmymarket jobs that I found lots of data entry jobs that offered flexible working form home - ideal for those who would rather not embrace corporate culture Lots of Jobs on this SiteMuch like my veggie plot - itsmymarket has grown over the past year and the ability to track down local jobs and services is a great help for those of us who have little interest in anywhere other than their own back garden.
