An iPod clipped to the Wellie - A Spade for an air guitar. LETS ROCK!!

My learned chums down the plot have been on and on that I should put the dismal performance and poor yeilds through the appalling summer behind me and look ahead to a new gardening year and a fertile patch.

Dig for Victory

The key to gardening success is preparation - and that means giving the soil a good working over in the autumn so once more I reach for the spade. It occured to me that the backbreaking chore could be made more bearable by listening to music while i work. What better track than the wonderful Blow Monkeys - Digging your scene?

Unfortunately my old Sony Walkman Cassette Player has given up after twenty years of service and it is high time I got hip to the beat and invested in a new portable music player - either a basic mp3 player or cheap iPod.

Mp3 Player or iPod?

No contest the iPod just blows away the competition and out of the various models of newgeneration models available the new nano ipod was by far the most suitable for my outdoor active needs. Designed with the fitness freak in mind the iPod nano has a built in clip and is teeny so you can just hook it onto your wellie top and get to enjoy up to 500 of your fave track.

Music Shortage

Much music I have but none of it is available to fit into an ipod as I have yet to find any way of transferring cassette recordings to become digital - how could I fill my full quota of 500 tracks to get best value from the new nano?

Just the Job: Sites for free music downloads

this blog post offers a great way to find free music mp3 downloads

and after a merry evening I had fab grooves galore so the weekend will see me sapde in hand - its a got to be a whole load more fun playing air guitar than prancing about indoors with Guitar Hero 3 in front of the tv.
