Stabbings Must Stop

Can someone, somewhere, explain to me exactly what's going on in our streets? Are you, like me, a concerned parent, wondering what's happening to our childrens' world?

Just got back from hospital. No scan today, that, as it turns out, is tomorrow at 11.55 am. But I did have a consultation with my new doctor

So, what can I say? Well, the end result of the consultation was that the doctor said he wasn't particularily concerned about the shadow, BUT I'd still have to go back tomorrow for the scan to confirm.

Today it was a battery of tests. First off was my oxygen count at my fingertips which was 99%. Then my wee was tested and "theres nothing in it" according to the nurse. Then I had two lung function tests where you blow long and hard into this reader. Height and weight were checked. Finally, a blood sample was taken.

Then I went into the doctor who asked me lots of questions and listened to my lungs & heart. My breathing is down slightly because of the smoking, but at this point, everythings fairly normal to good.

And I'm so grateful.

I know its not over yet, by a long shot. I'm still waiting for Wednesday 13th when I collect the results, and hopefully, I'll be discharged and I can put this sorry, frightening case behind me.

Thanks for your good luck wishes this morning Simon, believe me, at that point, they were really welcome. And thanks as well to all my IMM friends for all your support as well. You've all helped make this more bearable. Thank you all. I'll post an update tomorrow after the scan.

Paul
