Blog:
Frustrated Businessman
Despite all the meetings, promises and agreements made, and so on, especially at one the first big meetings, see my blog dated 23rd February, the company I work for have gone back on everything they said. I, along with my colleagues, have submitted plans, attended meetings, got approval on all rotas from all sides a month in advance, and stuck to our side of the bargain we agreed, the company is still not satisfied and are now insisting on changing things around as they originally wanted to way back in February. So I've resigned from my current post. I've emailed the letter from work last night, and I'm sending a copy of the same in the post today. I will not be messed around with like this. My life and time is valuable, and I owe it to myself to get the best I can out of life. Basically, as I said way back then, when I work days my world comes to a sudden stop. Add to that the fact that we now only have one car on the road after the Nissan died in March, so the situation now is far worse than then, when we were at least running two cars. So, how can 2 people get to work on days in two different places using one car - bearing in mind I start work at 7am, and my wife about 8.30. And, IF we could work it out somehow that one of us gives the other a lift, who pays the extra petrol for running to and from Kings Lynn twice a day? My petrol now is a fiver a day, if we car share, the petrol will jump up to at leat £10 - £12.00 a day. So, it won't work. And it's not going to happen. Now, I'm not sure what is going to happen though. There's one of those big meetings again on Thursday so I guess I'll get everything confirmed then. At the moment, my last shift where I'm working now finishes at 7am, 3rd August. I might get a transfer to another area, or I might have to leave the company full stop. Time will tell.
