Stabbings Must Stop

Can someone, somewhere, explain to me exactly what's going on in our streets? Are you, like me, a concerned parent, wondering what's happening to our childrens' world?

Tuesday 19th February - Meeting Update.

I still wasn't told what the outcome of The Major Incident Meeting was.

So, today, I asked my line manager when we were on our own.

Result?

"Everyone's calmed down." There was no other comment.

So, as I predicted, nothing's going to happen. Nothings going to change, least of all working practices and attitudes. We shall keep on working with the system that was formulated in about the 1930's which has let the team down so many times.

Well, it keeps the peace and saves rocking the boat doesn't it? Even if it was a full blown terrorist alert.

That's as may be.

But the outcome won't quite be the same if something like this happens when I'm on shift. That's guaranteed - but obviously, working above and beyond the procedures set in place, in concrete, will hopefully ensure incidents like this won't happen on my shifts.

There's nothing else to say really, is there?
