Frustrated Businessman
Well, would you believe it? My company has just cancelled the Very Important Meeting today without notice (see yesterdays blog) and have actually brought out a new roster - without notice - and this starts next MONDAY. I'm even more angry now.Five days notice of a complete change in working practices, affecting all my colleagues, as well as myself, a major change in both work and life. No notice of new rosters, meetings, cancellations, no consultations, and they have the cheek to bring this in by the back door by virtue of a single, photocopied sheet of paper delivered through the post. What's it mean? Days off gone, missing or completely changed - bearing in mind the original roster was done until the coming New Year. Everyone's personal plans completely wiped out overnight by a single sheet of photocopied paper. And the company doesn't even have the decency to answer my letters or emails. Are our lives really that meaningless to everyone? What gives ANY company the right to mess and interfere with a complete crew of five mens personal lives? This new roster was issued and then the meeting was cancelled. Net result? Two totally different rosters in circulation, both unconfirmed, and now NO ONE knows what they're working/should be working starting from 7am, next Monday. I have NEVER, in all my 43 years, dealt with such a pathetic example of man management. I dread to think what this man had to do to get his management job. I've told them I'm not going into work Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, because of The Teenage Ones taxi requirements for her work experience. I asked for the meeting to be reconvened as a matter of urgency within the next few days. If I've heard nothing by the 25th of this month (giving them a chance to get their act sorted out - in fairness) I'm pulling rank on this silly example of a manager and requesting a formal meeting with the company's director at Head Office. I'll keep you all informed......, in the meantime, any suggestions as to what to do here on a post card please! This covers us against legal repercussions (LOL) Paul CommentsWant to comment on this blog entry? Blog Entry Discussion (2 comments) Spread the Word
