Stabbings Must Stop

Can someone, somewhere, explain to me exactly what's going on in our streets? Are you, like me, a concerned parent, wondering what's happening to our childrens' world?

Norfolk Resident - Caravans Go Home

Once again I have to report that my basic European Right to a free and unhindered life has again been compromised by the tin can on wheels owners.

My baby girl was 15 yesterday, sooooo grown up. Why does time go so fast? Is it true that life's like a toilet roll, it starts to go faster as you get close to the end?

Anyway, she had her party in Kings Lynn (£120.00 thankyou). I still don't know the name of the place where she had it, but it was a place that involved make up, manicures, and hair stylists, so the £120 was well spent with 6 teenage girls and a single teenage boy(?) who all ended up made up and restyled hair dos.

I was delegated taxi driver for the afternoon pick up, so if you saw a green Volvo saloon going up and down the A148 and round and round the Tuesday Market Place, it was me!

The Teenage one came to the car having walked Kings Lynn town centre after the obligatory Birthday Shopping Spree, dressed like a princess, complete with her birthday tiara and new hairstyle.

Drove back home with my daughter and two of her friends at 4pm yesterday - the car was full of teenage female hormones. I had graphic descriptions of what was done to the single teenage boy in the make up session, followed by a teenage girl discussion of who had the kissable factor. Hmmmm.......

She was guest of honour at home as all the family had gathered here for her special occasion, and to take part in one of my wife's brunches of course!

One thing spoilt the day though.......my daughter ended up taking our DVD camcorder with her, having sweet talked her mum into lending it her. Would anyone be suprised then, if I was to say that it doesn't work anymore? It is brand new, I brought it for my wife for her Christmas Box last christmas, and it's been used a total of just 3 times before the Teenage One took it into her custody.

Back to Comet tomorrow, seeing if we can get it sorted out under guarantee. But she's spolit it for herself as well, the Teenage One, because the Camcorder ending up deleting her DVD of her special occasion.

Just hope we can get it sorted out, and quickly. I brought it for the wife especially for her cousins six week visit from Austrailia with us starting in 3 weeks time. I hope this once in a lifetime thing doesn't pass without being recorded, just because the teenage one has broken the camcorder.

I must also confess, that with all the talk of the new Harry Potter book flying around these blogs, I had to take part in the occasion too. Well, I financed the operation, it was the wife who went to Tesco's (in normal opening hours), brought a copy, and ended up scurrying out of the shop under cover of darkness clutching the all telling brown paper bag close to her chest!

And, just for the record, no, I haven't read a single HP book, nor seen a film, and, I must be honest, have no particular inclination in doing so, either.

Anyway, back to the real world.........................
