Katie Melua is a Georgian/British singer, songwriter and musician. Katie Melua (original name: Ketevan “Katie” Melua) was born on 16 September 1984 in Kutaisi, Georgia. Katie Melua moved to Northern Ireland at the age of eight and then relocated to England at the age of 14. Katie Melua is signed to the small Dramatico record label, under the management of songwriter Mike Batt. Katie Melua made her musical debut in 2003. Katie Melua was the United Kingdom’s biggest-selling female artist and Europe’s highest selling European female artist in 2006.

Katie Melua has released three studio albums so far: Call Off the Search (2003), Piece by Piece (2005) and Pictures (2007). Katie Melua’s fourth album is planned to be released in May 2010. Katie Melua has won two ECHO Awards in 2005 and 2007, and one Goldene Kamera Award in 2007.

Katie Melua has announced European Tour for Autumn 2010, following the release of her fourth studio album, which is due in May 2010. Katie Melua will kick-off the UK Leg of European Tour on 4 December 2010 at Manchester Apollo, Manchester. Katie Melua will complete the UK Tour on 21 December 2010 at Colston Hall Bristol, Bristol.
