itsmymarket.com - Summer Holidays

It’s the beginning of the school summer break 2008. For most of us that means traffic jams, babysitters, entertaining our little darlings and probably rain!

The itsmymarket.com Great West Run team are now over two weeks into our training regime, so we thought that maybe we should try another run.

Two weeks into our training regime, we had managed to do one 5 mile run. Clearly this isn't going to get us around the course, so Rowan and I (Manley) decided it was time for another little excursion.

With the winter winds chilling our bones, there has been a fair amount of 'under the weather' going around, so we set our hearts on a quick jaunt out to Exwick Mill and back, clocking in at just over 4 miles.

As the, shall we say 'bulkiest' team member, I am all for easing into these things gently, but
it was a clear night and we took in a slightly extended tour of Exeter, eventually covering a little more than 7 miles.

Looks like we are halfway there already! Only 99 days, 17 hours, 5 minutes and 17 seconds to the run.
