Following a killer suggestion from Eddie2sox (AKA Norfolk Single Dad) you can now get email alerts when people leave comments on your blog posts. In the spirit of the Interwebs I'm calling it "Commenting 2.0".

I was at a loose end this morning so decided to look into a suggestion made by Eddie2sox (of Norfolk Single Dad fame) in this thread:

http://www.itsmymarket.com/forum/showthread.php?t=95

When you post to your blog (what do you mean you don't have a blog?) you can now select whether to receive an immediate email notification as soon as someone comments on your post. Alternatively, you can opt to receive a single notification each day, or week, or no notification at all (the default setting).

This functionality taps into the forum subscriptions system, that can also be managed from your forum Control Panel. You can subscribe to any thread on the forum from your Control Panel, including subscriptions to the comment threads.

Any changes you make to the subscriptions to your blog's comment threads will be reflected in both your Control Panel and blog administration area.
