Blog: What's Going On?

Something must be happening

Seeing as I have nothing better to do at the moment, I thought I would see what trivia is on the www at the moment.

Starting with... Terry Wogan is the only presenter paid on the Children In Need show. The Mail On Sunday revealed that he received £9,065 in 2005 for the seven-hour show.

Elsewhere, apparently it's illegal to introduce beavers in the wild (how else are they going to meet?). German police rescue 91-year old man glued to roof. Taste for Guinness wanes in changing Ireland.

Finally, Children's show Blue Peter' faked a phone-in competition. Mercedes to develop hybrids (sounds painful). Russian mother wanted son killed over cramped flat. Britons want Churchill and Doherty on notes.

So, that's the political, sporting and religious-free news for the day (unless you include the Guinness story). Cheers...
