Lost in a strange place

Lowering Blood Pressure - research not to be sniffed at.

Can the smell of bad eggs be good for you?

A natural assumption that if something smells bad then its best avoided is now in question after a bunch of overpaid researchers announced the effect of whiffy flatulence on the blood pressure of mice.

The results have been interpreted to suggest that those whose trumps pong more will benefit from a lowering of blood pressure due to the reaction of Hydrogen Sulphide and the cells it comes into contact with on its passage through the body prior to expulsion.

In September the campaign to highlight high blood pressure offered free checks and advice about lifestyle changes to help lower blood pressure but as it preceeded the news that smelly farts can lower blood pressure.

Things to build up wind:

  • Bad posture whilst working on laptops

  • Eat Jeusalem Artichokes

  • Missing out on a balance diet

What are your top tips for increasing wind thus helping tolower blood pressure?

Easy on the Gas

Have you seen the price of fuel?

In an attempt to save some money I thought I'd follow the advice I overheard in my local Butchers - "it works out far cheaper if you get a whole lamb and we cut it up for you"

So being ever so environmentally aware I though Think Global, Steal Local so I promptly borrowed a neighbours brand new 4x4 and headed for the hills in search of a lamb.
It was only when I asked my acomplice if I should run it down sideways or head on that it was explained to me that the idea was to pay for a lamb to be reared by the farmer NOT to simply rob it.

Returning empty handed I thought the least I could do was top up the fuel tank

£70 to fill a New Freelander

Fuel Prices are Sky High! Even using the petrol price comparison sites the cost of driving extra miles tosave a few pennies a gallon doesn't add up and the perceived fuel economy is only relevant in "heavy urban conditions" - put that in your tail pipe Mr Freelander-

Thanks though for the informative notes to explain STOP and START.
