Petrol Prices

Blog: Things that Pop into my Head

Petrol prices are on the drop again, thanks to a decrease in oil prices. The lowest I've found is 111.9p at Trago's in Newton Abbot - as my friend said to me, ya can't beat Trago.

Unfortunately, I'd use a litre of petrol to get to Trago's from where I live, but there is hope, prices in Exeter are also dropping, a couple of places are 113.9p now - a drop of around 6p.

Cracking Down Further

The Shell MasterCard from Citi Bank also offers 3% cashback on fuel from Shell garages, as well as 1% cashback on other shopping. Not a great amount, but in these days of looming recession, every penny helps.

Jobs Ahoy

With many feeling the pinch, many are turning to crap jobs they would not normally consider to keep their head above water financially. 'Gas guzzling' vehicles such as Land Rovers are doubly hit, not only does it cost a small fortune to keep them running, the bottom has dropped out of the second hand market. On the bright side, if you are fortunate to have cash ready, now is a great time to get good deals.
