Walking to work today reminded me of summer... the skies were grey and the rain was forming rivers on the pavement.

What struck me was the different levels of protection people took.

I had my warm coat, gloves and silly hat (it keeps my ears warm) plus brolley and walking boots. My feet were kept nice and dry, unfortunately the same cant be said for the lower part of my trousers.

There was quite a few braving the elements, most with brolleys of some description, although some blokes were marching along, head down, no brolley. I know men dont worry about rain very much, but they must have been soaked to the skin by the time they got to their destination.

The funniest thing I saw was someone (female) with sumer-weight shoes on, they were getting more and more out of shape with almost every stride, she must have been so uncomfortable! I only hope she had a spare pair waiting for her, wherever she was going.
