Things that Pop into my Head If you've not participated in Martial Arts before (specifically Aikido) here's what you can expect.... I've just stopped rolling on the floor laughing after reading this post. It details an exercise that people can do to simulate an Aikido training course, I quote as follows: "Lie down (on the floor) Stand up. Lie down (on the floor) Stand up. Lie down (on the floor) Stand up. Lie down (on the floor) Stand up. Keep on doing this for 2 hours. Take a half hour break, and a drink. I wouldn’t advise eating yet! Resume… Lie down (on the floor) Stand up. Lie down (on the floor) Stand up. For another 2 hours. That will give you some small idea of how our legs feel. While helping you develop your legs, this practice is missing the fun bit where you fly through the air, which usually preceeds the brief lie on the floor part." END OF QUOTE As a student myself, I know exactly where he's coming from. I hope you enjoyed the humour, regardless of whether you train or not :-) CommentsWant to comment on this blog entry?
