Anti-Social Websites

It's not just Pasty's anti-social networking we need to be worried about, an increasing number of websites are down-right nasty these days.

Petrol Prices

Petrol prices are on the drop again, thanks to a decrease in oil prices. The lowest I've found is 111.9p at Trago's in Newton Abbot - as my friend said to me, ya can't beat Trago.

The woes of trying to walk home with a cheap, flimsy brolley.

I decided to brave the weather last night and walk home which takes about 35 mins. The weather didn't seem that bad... yeah it was raining a bit but nothing my trusty brolley couldn't handle.

I was doing ok until I turned the corner and was met by a gust of wind which promptly blew my brolley inside out and had to do that embarrassing 'point brolley in opposite direction' to correct the situation.

I'm not a brolley expert, but the wind direction changed continously as I walked past alleys and over exposed areas, so I ended up doing a sort of brolley dance, probably endangering the lives of other pedestrians.

I did arrive home, a bit wet, but with a sense of accomplishment. The lesson I learnt was - dont use flimsy brolley for winter, take big solid one even if it doesn't look that bad. Of course, this creates its own set of problems, like getting past lamposts on narrow pavements, but I'll save that for another time :-)
