Things that Pop into my Head When flying back from holiday to the UK, is it best to get the closest airport possible, or the best times? Living away from any major cities has its good and bad points. One of the more annoying aspects is the limited choice of airports and departure times. It seems many of the flights to the UK are at silly o clock and because its a local airport you often pay more for the privilege. One alternative is to get a flight to London instead, but then there's the extra expense of getting there and back. The smart thing to do would be to incorporate it into part of the holiday, maybe see a show or do some sightseeing, but that might shorten the amount of time spent actually away on holiday, which was the whole point of spending all that cash in the first place. Having to get up in the middle of the night to catch a flight is one of my pet peeves, it spoils the last day cos I'm worrying all the time about oversleeping and all the things that can go wrong. Mind you, having to check out of a room at 10am then lug your bags around until 2pm in the afternoon is a pain too. Maybe I should just stay at home! Spread the Word
