Things that Pop into my Head 
I've been away for a week to the Algarve, very nice it was too. I've got to say, the Algarve is lovely, even in late September it was plenty hot enough for us... we did have some rain whilst we were there, but even that was warm lol. Our hotel was right on the beach, Armacao de Pera is on the longest stretch of beach in the Algarve and it literally went on for miles - gives your legs a good workout walking in the sand too. The food is fantastic, pretty good value and there's loads of it. As you'd expect, its quite touristy in places with quite a range of restaurants - chinese, indian, pizza etc mixed in the more traditional portugese ones. I'm quite glad that we didn't hire a car - they drive like nutters and the bus service was fine anyway - much better than the confusion of going the wrong way round roundabouts and all the other hassles of being on the 'wrong' side of the road. I was confused even crossing the road on foot lol. All in all a really enjoyable holiday. Bit of a crash back down to earth having to do chores like cooking, cleaning and getting up to go to work ha.
