Source: hazel eyes With the credit crunch biting, retailers are slashing prices in an attempt to persuade us to part with our hard earned cash. Rumour has it that M&S are having a one day 20% off special this Thursday, super savings can be made on a wide selection of christmas gifts or even something to wear for the office christmas party. Christmas is about the only time of year I make an effort to be a touch feminine, and if there is a good deal on perfume, then who am I to disagree? Debenhams is also having a 3 day sale. I know, its more news when they aren't having some sort of Blue Cross money off event, but I do like to peruse the departments. Apparently more people are putting off buying christmas gifts in the hope of grabbing last minute bargains. With the jobless totals likely to exceed 3 million by 2010 its not surprising we're all clutching our purses. One section that will see a rise in popularity during the recession is job sites. We'll all be glued to our computers hunting down that elusive job we'll enjoy and get paid loads doing. On the plus side, now the price of fuel has dropped, we can afford to fill up the Freelander and attend job interviews, or indeed try exotic places like Taunton to do our christmas shopping. Source: hazel eyes We have finally moved into our offices on the 4th Floor. My first impressions.... Wow, its big up here! Its at least twice as big as our old offices and open plan. Also, we were split between two rooms in the other building, and now we're all one happy family. Pickfords Ofice RemovalsPickfords have got to be the worst removals firm in the world. At least I hope they are cos if there efforts on Friday were average, I do not want to move anywhere ever again. They were an hour late getting here to start with, then slow, obstinate and generally rubbish. Settling Into The New OfficeNow we've just about unpacked everything, the company credit card is doing some work. The place is being fitted out with plants, a new TV, not forgetting the essential Wii console and a selection of Wii games. The view from up here on the 4th floor is pretty good too, right across Exeter and some green stuff too. I'm not going to be walking up 8 flights of stairs that often, but I have done it once so far.
