Its Party Time!

Lots of parties to go to in the next couple of weeks, time to dust off my legs and get the glitter out....

Party Season has arrived! I got an early start this year with the South West NABD (National Association of Bikers with a Disability) charity bash last Saturday. It was a reet larf, met some great people, won some choccies in the raffle and got thoroughly merry. All for a good cause too.

This Friday its my Aikido club meal, works do next Thursday then down to Cornwall for Christmas with the family. We've specially bought "Here and Now" Monopoly to take down with us as the m-in-law has some odd ideas about scrabble scoring. Aided by myself and some friends, Exeter has got the Park Lane spot!

Christmas Shopping Comparison

Source: hazel eyes
Tuesday 4th December 2007, 3:41pm

So I went to Debenhams today and spent £23 on 2 pressies including batteries. I wonder what that same money could buy me on Dec 26th.

Today, my money bought me a £12.50 Toddle along Tortoise (not for me) and a Mrs Bridges celebration champagne strawberry and marmalade preserve for £8. 4 AA batteries for the tortoise cost £1.50.

I do like a bargain, and for older kids I give them money so they can get what they want in the sales at a better price, but I can't really do that for a nearly 2 year old as she will enjoy tearing the paper up as much as anything else.

Compare Prices!

Thats usually my motto so I get a good deal, but I want to try and get everything all wrapped up in plenty of time for a change, so I left it a bit late for browsing the net. It is annoying though, buying presents that you know damn well will be lots cheaper in a couple of weeks. I sometimes think it would be a much better idea to not bother with the money go round and spend it all in the sales!
