Source: hazel_eyes Most folks collect Nectar points, or Tesco clubcard points... the Queens bank has released 'Courtesy of Coutts', a rewards scheme for their exclusive World card and Gold card holders. With Courtesy of Coutts, those people holding a World or Gold card can collect points as they shop which can then be exchanged for certain goods and services, some a little suprising considering the clientele. Courtesy of Coutts points can be redeemed against eBookers, for hotels, car hire and flights, European flights with EasyJet, they can help pay for travel charges such as airport taxes, or be donated to certain charities. I like the idea of donating points to charity, and paying for travel costs sensible, but I find the choice of EasyJet as an airline suprising. Maybe its a ruse to increase charitable donations lol To comment on, or report this post follow the permalink aboveSkype strangers
Source: hazel_eyes Has anyone that uses Skype had any random people contact them? Earlier today I was chatting to some friends on Skype when a random stranger contacted one of my friends and asked for a chat. I was wondering if this happens often on Skype. In this case the person wasn't abusive, in fact they were quite polite - they said it was a case of mistaken identity, but you never know who's out there, or even if they are who they say they are. If it was me I'd not have answered, same as if a number comes up on my mobile that I don't know. You can't be too careful these days! Source: hazel_eyes I've been away for a week to the Algarve, very nice it was too. I've got to say, the Algarve is lovely, even in late September it was plenty hot enough for us... we did have some rain whilst we were there, but even that was warm lol. Our hotel was right on the beach, Armacao de Pera is on the longest stretch of beach in the Algarve and it literally went on for miles - gives your legs a good workout walking in the sand too. The food is fantastic, pretty good value and there's loads of it. As you'd expect, its quite touristy in places with quite a range of restaurants - chinese, indian, pizza etc mixed in the more traditional portugese ones. I'm quite glad that we didn't hire a car - they drive like nutters and the bus service was fine anyway - much better than the confusion of going the wrong way round roundabouts and all the other hassles of being on the 'wrong' side of the road. I was confused even crossing the road on foot lol. All in all a really enjoyable holiday. Bit of a crash back down to earth having to do chores like cooking, cleaning and getting up to go to work ha.
