Get Back At The Scammers

If you've had scam emails and want to fight back, report them to 419 Eater! A couple of people on here have done a bit of scambaiting, but not to the extent these people do, they are pro's.

My other half is taking the plunge and giving up the fags (trying to anyway) and to avoid too much weight gain he wanted a pushbike to ride around on.

Interesting Times in Exeter

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad noone was seriously hurt, but the bomb was a bit of a fuss over nothing really. The only thing he blew up was himself and a toilet.

Attempted Drive-By Pasty Mugging!

Source: hazel_eyes
Friday 23rd March 2007, 3:58pm

Its a sad state of affairs when even your pasty isn't safe

Lunchtime in Exeter and I find myself in the vicinity of Warrens Bakery. Savoury of the Month is Leek, Cheese and Bacon pasty so I bought said item.

I went across the road and placed my pasty on one of the window ledges in the wall. Just as I was tying my shoelace, I heard a rustling and looked up to see a pasty mugging youth attempting to make off with it!

I quickly grabbed it back as it was being slid (not very quietly) off the ledge and the would be pasty mugger ran off.

Cheeky little scrot.

Out for Sunday Lunch

Source: hazel_eyes
Tuesday 20th March 2007, 3:10pm

Going out for Sunday Lunch on Mothers Day has got to be on a par with popping out for a quiet evening meal on Valentines Day.

As Hubby was starting a new job on Monday and we hadn't been out to lunch for ages, we (well, me) decided to go out for lunch to celebrate. We plumped for the Ruffwell Lodge about 15 mins drive away cos it does great food AND there's Budweiser on tap!

We only just got in (someone just cancelled before we rang) so off we pottered at 2. Blimey it was busy, people everywhere. Luckily our table was in a corner so we could eat our (delicious) carverys and sip bud in relative peace.

Overall it made a nice change, but perhaps I'll avoid going out on Mothers Day next time..... thinking about it we should have made the 2hr drive to see the folks and avoided the £7.99 flower delivery charge EACH for both Mums lol

We did pop in to Bridge Motorcyles on the way home and was tempted by a Suzuki GSX 1400 .... but will wait til next year, sigh.

Martial Arts for the Uninitiated

Source: hazel_eyes
Wednesday 7th March 2007, 4:29pm

If you've not participated in Martial Arts before (specifically Aikido) here's what you can expect....

I've just stopped rolling on the floor laughing after reading this post. It details an exercise that people can do to simulate an Aikido training course, I quote as follows:

"Lie down (on the floor)

Stand up.

Lie down (on the floor)

Stand up.

Lie down (on the floor)

Stand up.

Lie down (on the floor)

Stand up.

Keep on doing this for 2 hours.

Take a half hour break, and a drink. I wouldn’t advise eating yet!

Resume…

Lie down (on the floor)

Stand up.

Lie down (on the floor)

Stand up.

For another 2 hours.

That will give you some small idea of how our legs feel.

While helping you develop your legs, this practice is missing the fun bit where you fly through the air, which usually preceeds the brief lie on the floor part."

END OF QUOTE

As a student myself, I know exactly where he's coming from. I hope you enjoyed the humour, regardless of whether you train or not :-)
