Source: hazel_eyes Behold the pinkest website ever and contrast it with the website of the most expensive credit card I have ever seen Looking round at credit cards, smile looked quite cheery, but I wouldn't want to be looking at that website for too long, PINK is not the word.
Just for a laugh, I had a look at the Queens Bank, Coutts. The website is much easier on the eyes, but you'll need to be as relaxed as possible for when you look at the rates! To comment on, or report this post follow the permalink above Do you eat too many Jaffa Cakes? There's a helpline!
Source: hazel_eyes Jaffa cake helpline I was munching on a Jaffa cake bar yesterday and was amazed and amused to find on the wrapper a Jaffaholics anonymous helpline. I haven't rung it, but the number is 0500 011710 for anyone thats interested :-) Brightened up my day that did To comment on, or report this post follow the permalink above Lazy Day
Source: hazel_eyes The benefits of having Friday off work Having a day off work is great, you can get up late, watch telly and put off doing the housework.... again Ho Hum, might think about food in a bit To comment on, or report this post follow the permalink above Trip to the Dentists
Source: hazel_eyes A routine dental checkup - why is it that they always find some excuse to cause pain? I'm not sure this is really blog material, my first visit to the dentist in about 3 years. The last time I went after a long absence I was told I needed to have all 4 wisdom teeth taken out, so I was a bit concerned. 20 minutes late (how do they get so far behind at 9 in the morning?) I was summoned and the exam began. The dentist prodded about for a bit and said it was all ok, just a bit of cleaning required. Phew! no drilling. Is it just me, or does having your teeth cleaned make your toes curl? I'm not sure if painful is the right expression, the pressure of the cleaning tool was quite unpleasant at times, but thankfully it didn't take too long. After paying £15.50 for the priviledge, I gratefully left and wont have to go back again for another year (touch wood). Source: hazel_eyes Just thought I'd have a quick peek at IMM for 10 mins.... next thing I know its half 4! The IMM Blog page has been quite absorbing, so much so that I'm now posting about it! At about 3.30 I thought I'd browse the latest blog posts.... but I got so caught up in reading them that an hour has flown by! I bet there's loads of people that read the blogs but are too scared to start one.... To those people I say - go on, give it a go, its quite theraputic. Source: hazel_eyes The woes of trying to walk home with a cheap, flimsy brolley. I decided to brave the weather last night and walk home which takes about 35 mins. The weather didn't seem that bad... yeah it was raining a bit but nothing my trusty brolley couldn't handle. I was doing ok until I turned the corner and was met by a gust of wind which promptly blew my brolley inside out and had to do that embarrassing 'point brolley in opposite direction' to correct the situation. I'm not a brolley expert, but the wind direction changed continously as I walked past alleys and over exposed areas, so I ended up doing a sort of brolley dance, probably endangering the lives of other pedestrians. I did arrive home, a bit wet, but with a sense of accomplishment. The lesson I learnt was - dont use flimsy brolley for winter, take big solid one even if it doesn't look that bad. Of course, this creates its own set of problems, like getting past lamposts on narrow pavements, but I'll save that for another time :-) To comment on, or report this post follow the permalink aboveWhy do people do that?
Source: hazel_eyes Odd behaviour on buses I was on the bus last night, about half five, so it was quite busy. As the bus started to fill up, a couple got on and decided that they couldn't bear to sit apart so stood up at the front of the bus. This meant that everyone that got on after them had to squeeze past to get to a seat. Why? To comment on, or report this post follow the permalink above |
