Perfuem and skin care products are fast becoming known as a popular insect repellents by ladies who drive 4 X4's

The truth about land rover drivers is that they are generally well to do ladies and gentlemen who enjoy flaunting their fashion and stlye.

Now summer is here the inevitable plague of insects buzz around distracting drivers who fail to close all windows leading to accidents and irritation.

Following reports that the army (hard) are using Avon moisturiser for insect protection in the Jungle central London shoppers at 'Arrolds are looking for cheap beauty products that will act as effective insect repellents. Creme de la mer may not be the cheapest of cosmetic ranges but fancy ladies are lured in by the promise of a radiant facial and a spot of sp F BUFF.

Cheap perfume - better than BuzzOff

Unexpectedly, Toots own brand insect gel Buzzer Off contains less active ingredients that are repellant to insects than some of the most exclusive cosmetics and fragrances on sale.

Why spend a little on something that doesn't work when you can spen a lot on feeling great?

Recession proof jobs

It was with mild interest I came upon this list of top jobs in a recession

It would appear that the more desperate people become the better off some professions become. Thats injustice however it was pleasing to see some "new" jobs appear in the list.

Those working towards helping people around the world who are affected by drought and flood caused by climate change can at least feel worthwhile.

Anything’s possible if we put our heads together and keep the ideas flowing. In Bangladesh, where flooding

can undo months of back-breaking work, farmers are reaping the rewards from floating vegetable gardens.

Can the men with money keep Land Rover afloat?

My enjoyment of putting a variety of new vehicles throught their paces at the Land Rover Experience Centre's leading off road track at Eastnor Castle was somewhat marred byt the presence of a group of city types out on a corporate bonding day.

It became clear that these gents were seriously considering buying new vehicles for their corporate fleet. Who, I wondered in these times of economic uncertainty were in a position to be out spending on top of the range 4X4's?

It is difficult not to see the irony that amidst the turmoil major investment houses and money men continue to make killing playimng global monopoly. Some reports that rapid improvements to international FX trading solutions have been made to accomodate the massive increase in trade volumes.

These chaps certainly held an air of confidence - indeed arrogance as they joked about the common Defender and its slow farmers pace.

The realisation that their decision to purchase new vehicles might help the security of some careers and jobs for Land Rover encouraged me to chat to them about my experience of the models on offer.

The choice they had to make was ultimately between the Freelander or Discovery - the Range Rover being dismissed as being a far too okay yah yuppie vehicle.

After reading various reports about the shortcomings of the Disco attention turned to the recent reviews of the Freelander.

New Land Rover Freelander - 40 miles per Gallon?

It was with releif that the bankers took notice of the greatly improved fuel economy technology. Tremendous news for drivers wlooking for all the history and status Land Rover is famed for and now prettily packages and wrapped up in a greener parcel that will genuinely improve day-to-day economy.

The new Freelanders are on sale from April 2009 and have a modest £32k price tag.

Lets hope the city boys can hold their jobs and wait for the release of the new land Rover "Green" Freelander

You can now pay good money to fly a plane, jump out of a plane, land a plane or shave wood with a plane.

Amongst the selection of popular Christmas Gift ideas the latest craze is Gift Experiences.

It was pleasing to see the Land Rover Off road Experience listed amongst the Driving Gift Experience ideas.

Previously We shared this bloggers Experience and it did sound fun. However it came to our attention that there are some doubters who like nothing more than to mock the off road capabilities of Freelanders choosing instead to find fault with the design and build. sites like My Freelander focus on how to repair a Freelander, whilst The Whole Truth openly criticises the vehicle for its shortcomings.

The consumer Witch report about Gift Experiences rated Land Rover's Experience days as "amongst the best Driving Experiences you'll ever have" and suggested that the Freelander was the pick of the bunch. We checked over at Landrovers international site and was surprised to find this page about their Freelander - Shurly Shome Mishtake.

Fight Fight Fight - Freelander Vs Range Rover Sport

Uproar in the upmarket 4x4 world.

Who'd have thought that an interbrand war would be bubbling away in GAY DON Towers.

The marketing folk of landrover are at odds with one anaother over which of the models is best suited to the landowner andwhich deserves the accolade of being Land Rovers BEST- the dominance of the land rover range rover sport is being challenged by its smaller, more economical sibling.

Which is the Best Land Rover - Freelander or Range Rover Sport?

Accordng to motor enthusiast the freelander offers a versatile drive and performs well on all terrain. Add to this the Freelander Head Space and it become difficult to see how the Range Rover Sport compares.

Definately the vehicle of choice for the posh the Land Rover Sport is the most expensive of the models and critics ask what extra bang they are getting for their buck. The unofficail response is "prestige" - the Sport is driven by Royalty and thats enough to satisfy even the most snobbish driver.
