Source: Tomo errrr....yes, i do believe it can infact be awesome! A couple of weeks ago i attended a corporate function in a marquee...yes, a marquee... Really though, this "marquee" was more of a lavish ball room in a massive house! - completely amazing. The Catering was supplied by a company called Guava...i have to say i was astonished... We started with "homemade Lobster and saffron scallop ravioli"...nice... Mains were, i foget exactly what it was called but basically roast Lamb...again...nice! Dessert was one hell of a chocolate cake, covered in summer fruits...heaven! Following that was of course the standard coffee's and then the most ridiculously large and enjoyable pate and cheese board! Of course whist most were dancing i and a few collegues were making the most of the quality fodder! So, the next time your invited to a marquee based event, don't do the "eat before we leave" trick to ensure against the contraction of salmonella! Its worth mentioning that in addition to Guava who did the catering, Axon Event Solutions supplied the Marquee, Power and Audio/Visual & Exhibition bits. Source: Tomo one word: WOW! If your ever in the Birningham area then you will be advised by many to head down to the Shakeperian town of Stratord-upon-Avon or maybe to stop at Ann Hatherways cottage on the A3400...whatever your reasons for being in that area the one thing that you should absolutely do without any consideration for anything else is to visit the Thai Cottage in Henley-in-Arden. Its in the village, on the right as you head towards Stratford from Brum, on the A3400. I've been there a few times, and i love it. The place is a sleek, modern and yet traditional Thai restaurant, fitting in brillinatly with the local area. My favourite dish has to be the Thia Green Curry, wonderful. They do takeaways too, and from experience its not that usual 10 minute wait after the "ready" time you get with most takeaway's, bang on or early. Definately worth a visit but you will have to book. check out the Great Food Guide's opinion... Thai Cottage Incidentally my Sister had a baby boy last week...I've been instructed to find pushchairs, i have, infact a Bugaboo. Thanks Pushchair Guide.
