Do your research and make an informed decision - check out what's hot and what's not.

Be warned - not all online review sites are truly honest.

Huge online retailers try hard to help hteir salesby including user reviews of the products. Although illegal it is apparant that soem cunning stunts are being pulled by brand insiders who go on to the sites, make a purchase of their own products and leave glowing reviews.

However all is not lost. Blogs offer a personal opinion and can usually be trusted.

Some sites rely entirely on good content to bring visitors who it is hoped might earn the site owner a few dollars from clicking the Google adverts.

Dont be Fooled - Trust is Everything

One fantastic site is Hints and Things - a veritable cornucopia of information about everyting in the home.

lately the site has added superb buying guides to help choose gifts on the run up to Christmas.

The games console guide offers information about games and gaming - including Playstation, Nintendo Wii and Xbox

For music fans you can read all about the latest iPods and discover what the differences between an iPod Shuffle, Nano and iPod Touch are.

Both iPods and games consoles are very popular Christmas gifts and can be quite expensive. With proper research you should be able to save money and pick up the best deals - just remember - think BEFORE you spend.
